DAFT FUN!

Perfect antidote to a cold rainy night. A silly unapologetic bit of fun, with a murder mystery twist. We enjoyed the show.

VERY ENJOYABLE LIGHT HEARTED EVENING

Saw this at Woking on opening night, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The acting form the entire cast was fab. The script could have possibly been a little better but it was a very funny enjoyable night out with great acting. Definitely worth a visit if you want a care free not too serious evening out. Don't listen to the negative reviews go and see it for yourselves, it may not be every ones cup of tea or sense of humour but I enjoyed it.

CLASSIC COMEDY!

Brilliant cast and the set and costumes were great ! We loved it and so did everyone around us. From reading some reviews I think this heightened style of comedy isn’t appreciated by some people because it’s not often done these days. Go see it if you’re an old school comedy fan !

BRILLIANT!

Can't say anything about this play. It was hilarious, brilliant acting and brilliant writing and timing. Every member of the cast was outstanding. Would highly recommend. Left theatre with a spring in my step and a silly smile on my face. Thank you to all involved for every aspect of this play.

A FAST-PACED HOOT!

A riot of a show. Cluedo characters are brought to life in this novel, energetic whodunnit. Colonel Mustard is a tough Texan deal maker, with Jason Durr strutting, all cowboy boots and drawl. Ellie Leach delights as a spunky Miss Scarlett, and Mrs White, Dawn Buck, steals every scene. Clever staging with scene changes becoming part of the narrative, sees us romp through Graveney Manor, as each successive murder intrigues and thickens the plot. The audience embraced this entertaining nonsense and the characters’ gasps were echoed in the stalls at each twist and turn. Go see.

WHAT A RIOT

A truly great production, witty, funny and totally enjoyable.

GOOD OLD FASHIONED FUN

Saw Cluedo 2 in Cambridge on Friday evening and really enjoyed it. Jack Bennet (Wadsworth and Dawn Buckland (Mrs White) absolutely stole the show brilliant comic timing from both of these clearly seasoned pros. Heartbeats Jason Durr as Colonel Mustard had us in fits of laughter.. Only negative comment was that some of the direction seemed stagnant and not very interesting, blame the director for that! Overall we had a fabulous night and a good old fashioned belly laugh. Don’t listen to all the negative comments see for yourself. Congratulations to the wonderful cast and to Elle Leach on her stage debut.

ODD AND NOT ENTERTAINING

This should have been a great show but turned out to be odd and not very entertaining . From the start the characters were annoying with cliched accents and in the case of Plum very variable ones too. The character of Black as an aging rock star almost made me murder him so it was a relief when somebody else did. The character of Mustard had a very odd Deep South accent and the much repeated Al/Hal Green joke ran for far too long. There were odd choreographed interludes and much overacting with the cast not really working together . The writing was very 80s with many of the jokes being 60s based but not in a good way. I do hope they get it together as the tour continues or it’s going to be a slog around Britain!

NOT VERY FUNNY

It was very slow paced. The jokes really didn't land for me. There was one joke that I think mocked people with ptsd. Very outdated comedy. The movement choreography between scene where SO awkward and went on forever. Miss Scarlett was very quiet and one-tone/flat.

2.0 star rating Rosi from Brighton,

MAYBE 2 GOOD ACTORS IN TOTAL

Not too funny- they tried too hard. We still had a good laugh. Unfortunately muss Scarlett wasn't a good actress at all, sweet face bit not string enough for this role

2.0 star rating Lisa S from Brighton,

PAINFUL

Poor acting, very slow a stifled. Not funny at all. Need to pick this up as you tour the country guys otherwise it could kill your careers.

2.0 star rating M.Todd from Hull

AMATEUR DRAMATICS

Poor acting, poor script, not funny. The cook was the only one trying to save the show. Miss Scarlet and colonel Mustard should stick to T.V. acting

OH DEAR…

I’ve seen some great shows at our local theatre. Cluedo 2 wasn’t one of them. The cast tried hard but a dreadful dated and unfunny script left me eagerly awaiting the final curtain. Laboured jokes that might have raised a titter 40 years ago just don’t cut it these days. i actually felt sorry for the actors flogging this theatrical dead horse. Shame.

A TALE OF 2 HALVES

I concur with most of the previous reviews. Really disappointing based on the standard set by the original Cluedo. Mrs White by far the vest performance. It could easily have been so much better with perhaps some different direction or perhaps recasting (Miss Scarlett), the script also left a lot to be desired. The post interval performance was marginally better but on the whole we wished we'd stayed at home - Shane

WE ARE STILL LAUGHING IT WAS THAT BAD

Left at half time! Script was appaling and we felt sorry for the actors.

DISSAPOINTING

I have to agree with TomW. With links to the excellent Play that goes wrong, we expected an evening of slapstick and wit. We considered leaving at the interval but didn't. In hindsight we should have as the show didn't get any better. In all our years of visiting London for shows it is the only one I regret buying seats for. The cast are probably very talented but the script was not good at all. The lady next to me enjoyed the performance, laughing and snorting at every lame joke but she had an empty bottle of wine for company so maybe that's the way to see this show.

DIRE

Please don't go and see this. Expectations were high based on reviews of the first Cluedo and daring to mention Mischief theatre (Play that Goes Wrong) in the same breath as this. How wrong they were - very stilted acting, odd choreographed scenes, and basically just unfunny. Maybe appealing to a more senior audience as an old-fashioned, subtle form of humour but for us (and I think many present) this was one of the most disappointing nights at the theatre I can recall.

1.0 star rating Bob from Woking. England

AWFUL

Awful Was it bad/overacting or did the Director actually choose to present the worst kind of am dram? Mrs White was generally good!

1.0 star rating Faye from London, England

AWFUL

I saw this at Woking theatre...we left half way ( others didn't even wait that long) Repetitive jokes ( half / al green and the butler/ actor) that were not funny that first time let alone the 20th. Some of the worst acting I've seen. Save your money and see something else

1.0 star rating Chris Peacock from Brighton,

IT’S STILL ON BUT I’M AT HOME

Dreadful show, awful script, terrible acting, abysmal direction. Rarely have I seen such utter tripe, the script isn’t funny enough (see Birds of a Feather) most of the cast seem to be cringing through it although the butler tries his best. What’s truly depressing is the audience members who laugh at this rubbish. It feels like it’s a GCSE students production, one that they wrote the night before putting it on. As my wife said as we were leaving “the best bit is when they’re moving the furniture around because at least they’re not talking.” Thank goodness we hadn’t paid and we were gifted the tickets by seriously ill relatives who couldn’t make it, although I think they got the better deal.

CLEUDO 2

Absolutely dire. It didn't even reach the dizzy height of dreadful. Awful script, wooden acting, strange accents, strange scenery changes and awful flat jokes. Expected something funny and fun based in previous plays from the producers. DO NOT RECCOMEND

1.0 star rating Clare from Birmingham,

DREADFUL

Really poor.Left at the interval. Like an awful am dram show.

1.0 star rating Emma from Birmingham,

DREADFUL

We’ve seen at Malvern tonight and left half way through, absolutely awful (no) story, jokes, acting, scenery changes - everything about it was terrible. Couple behind us also loudly saying how bad it was. Waste of £140.. don’t waste your money - find something else!

1.0 star rating Kevin from London, England

WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY

I was looking forward to seeing this as I had seen the first Cluedo which was very enjoyable. This however was a pile of pony! Awful acting and a very poor unfunny script. Like others, I wished I had left at the interval but I prevailed until the bitter end. More fool me.

1.0 star rating Stuart from Bath

WHO CARES WHODUNIT !!

We rarely contemplate leaving a show early as sometimes the perfomance grows. in the case of Cluedo 2 we made an exception and a quick exit at the interval not prepared to sit through the rest of this dissapointing show. We discovered we were were not alone as we mingled with a couple of other disgruntled groups outside the theatre who had the same idea. Not sure of the main issue: Unfunny, terrible script, am dram acting but all were contributory. its a real shame because it could've been so much more. To be fair, there were others in the audience who seemed to be enjoying themselves but for us, it's an hour we will never get back!!
