WARDROBE NEEDS A LOT OF WORK

This show could have been so much better. Rachel Marron is supposed to be a worldwide star and she was dressed in ill fitting outfits that looked like they were picked from the charity shop at best. Rachel had an amazing voice but there was also absolutely no chemistry between her and Frank - he had zero charisma. As a regular theatre goer...............so disappointing.

SO DISAPPOINTING

Having looked forward to attending the show for months I was left with no words and couldnt even bring myself to see the 2nd half of the show... I could forgive the cheap looking costumes and sets but murdering Whitney Houston songs I just cant!! Melody thornton can certainly dance and looked beautiful but taking on the iconic role was a leap to far ...wooden performances ..awful american accents ...truly sad I really wanted to live it.

GIVE IT A MISS FEB 2023

The second time we have ever left a production at the interval. Acting was wooden, and Melody Thornton wasn’t able to carry off the vocal or personality of the lead. The sound was really bad throughout and inconsistent - had to our fingers in our ears at points. What a let down.

DISAPPOINTING

Went to see The Bodyguard UK tour on 21 Feb 2034 and was so disappointed. The acting was terrible and the sound quality was painful at points. Melody Thornton couldn’t carry the vocal or personality required for the lead, and was outshine by the vocals of Emily-Mae. I would normally power through but due to the bad experience, we left at the interval. Love the playhouse normally, and we paid out for great seats, but this production sadly let them down.

NOT GREAT

Seen the bodyguard with Alexandra Burke which was really good but this production was like watching a school play . Not worth the bother going or the money.

What we thought

TECHNOLOGICAL interesting Amazed!

At the start you are treated to a full-on concert experience that Lady Gaga would be jealous of!

Chock-full of Houston's songs that made the film as memorable as it is today, but they fit well into the overall narrative well, without halting it.
